FOUR TO THE FLOOR

BEST art exhibition of the week was in the coolly trendy Front Lounge in Temple Bar. Given that it was a week where just about every event in Dublin had a high music content, it was, appropriately enough, an exhibition of flyer art.

For those of you who, don't get out much, flyers are those ingenuous little invites that club promoters use to lure people in. Two years ago they were sad bits of photocopies, now they're at the cutting edge of graphic design.

Side's staffer Jimmy Costello, and Strictly Fish man Martin Thomas had the inspired idea of putting these designed to be disposable artworks on show and while the opening night was crammed, the really smart people, including Bono, booked in for a private viewing on Monday afternoon before the show even opened.
