The Rock + Roll Rescue Squad is delighted to announce a very special night in Strictly Handbag - direct from their Paris recording sessions for their new album - Ladytron are jetting in for an exclusive DJ set to mark the start of a week long celebration of 14 years of RíRá , Dublin.

Liverpudlian modernists Ladytron are coming to town for a one off DJ set on Monday the 26th of November. Their performance is part of a series of events and parties to celebrate 14 years of RíRá and The Globe. Now an unrivaled institution in Dublin’s Pub and club-land, the venue has been having a face lift over the last few weeks and now looks great again.

Those of you who caught Ladytron’s moody but magnificent set at Electric Picnic will no doubt be intrigued to known what they’ve got in their record box. Rumour has it that the girls like to rock out when they get behind the decks, but also expect to hear quality synth based pop from decades past.

For those of you unfamiliar with Ladytron’s sound think Devo, Kraftwerk, Roxy Music, but northern pop sensibility. They look and sound a futuristic Human League. Two boys + two girls striking a robotically sexy pose. Ladytron are currently recording their fourth studio album in Paris, but are taking a break to mind our handbag for the night. This one’s going to bet a bit special.
